One of the most frequent questions we get when talking to a corporate client about translating their marketing or training or technical materials is “How do you ensure consistency?”.
For marketing purposes in particular, consistency is key to ensuring the brand messaging and recognition among customers. In order to ensure consistency, we use terminology management with the aid of computer software. With this software, we can keep track of each term that a company or client uses and it’s translation in almost any language.
The world is shrinking and global markets are growing rapidly. To keep up with this growth, many companies created automated systems and whenever you pick up a phone, you are likely to hear a recording and are confronted with various options before you can connect to a real person.
Your Holiness, how do you do it? How do you communicate with 1.2 billion Catholics spreading from Oceania to Brazil and ensure that you are understood?
Valued colleagues and friends,
We are happy to communicate that Monica, Project Manager at World Translation Center, has been collaborating with BlueLantern Films in the making of their feature film Beacon Point. This opportunity has allowed her to use her more artistic side through her involvement in the props conceptual design and in the costume department, in combination with her linguistic management background by serving as a linguistic liaison between the director and non-English speaking bloggers that are helping spread the word. BlueLantern Films, and Monica personally, invite you to check out their Kickstarter video campaign (including an interview with actress Melissa McBride from The Walking Dead). Help them spread the word and see what they’ve been up to.
